Renew Pool

Quite some news this month!

• The min pool fixed fee has been lowered from 340 ADA to 170 ADA! This means more rewards for our delegators. The variable fee ("margin") stays at 0% for now.


• Because of the min fee change, the payback plan is coming to an end, since it was mainly launched to compensate the higher fixed fee from before.


• Pledge has been increased from 26 kADA to 30 kADA.


• The CNCAla ISPO came to an end and delegators who got CNCAla tokens can claim NFTs through ada-anvil.io. Read more on climateneutralcardano.org about the CNCAla ISPO.

Achievements of the last 2 years:

• ATH pool stake: 950'000 ADA


• Total donated to Climate Neutral Cardano project (CNCAla ISPO): 1'360 ADA, rest of pool rewards used for recycling / solar projects


• Total fee payback to delegators ("payback plan"): 3'540 ADA, token payout of CNCAla tokens


• 99.999% bare metal server uptime and other efforts to strengthen the Decentralization of the Cardano ecosystem


• Keeping node software always up to date: Started with node V. 1.27.0, 16 updates later running V. 8.1.2 on all nodes


• AllianceXspo delegation rotation participant with 2'600 ADA to support small pools

Starting in epoch 377, delegators to all CNCAla ISPO pools like RENEW pool will be able to get CNC Ala tokens from DripDropz besides earning the usual ADA staking rewards from their delegation. CNC Ala tokens can be used to redeem NFTs from CNC partners at a later stage. Read more about the ISPO and CNC Ala token on the following pages:

Starting in Epoch 368, Renew Pool will pay back a part of the fixed pool fee of 340 ADA per epoch to delegators, to increase delegator ROI (Return on Investment). This is to promote the pool until regular rewards are granted by a total pool stake of about 1-2 mADA.

Renew Pool is now running for more than one year. The following has been accomplished in this first year:

• Running always the latest cardano-node software, currently version 1.35.3


• Minting of all scheduled blocks


• Participation in CNC Ala ISPO, donating regularly in ADA to Tetikasa Ala

The project ILUMES in which recycled ABS plastic is used to 3D-print large scale ceiling lamp shades has made some progress. Renew Pool is collaborating with ILUMES - and with your stake to Renew Pool you support this progress! See the following video for details:

The pool has reached a big milestone in 2022: Total delegation > 100'000 ADA. Thanks to all delegators the chance to produce blocks increased a lot! There is of course still a long way to go to reach millions which would ensure a constant block production every epoch.
On a side note the software was updated to cardano-node 1.33.0 which runs very smooth as usual.

Short update about what has happend with RENEW pool in november:
First pool's block produced this month! Finally RENEW has contributed to this awesome network! Rewards have been paid out to all our delegators.
All nodes have been updated to the newest cardano-node software 1.31.0 which runs flawless!

An important milestone has been reached: Cardano pool RENEW is now at >25k ADA stake, more precisely at >26k ADA. This is important to have a real chance at block production.
The next step is to not only have a chance at block production but hopefully to perform block production on a regular basis.

During October we have rolled out the update to Cardano node version 1.30.1 which was released at the end of September.

At the start of this month prior to the smart contract launch ("Alonzo hard fork") on Cardano, all nodes of RENEW pool were updated to Cardano 1.29.0 after 1 week of prior testing. At the same time, RAM was updated to >=12 GB for all relays and block producer.
Renew Pool is now also a proud member of xSPO Alliance and Cardano Bare Metal Alliance!

I'm glad to announce this weeks changes to RENEW pool:

• Pledge increased from 3k ADA to 10k ADA


• Margin ("variable fee") changed from 1.5% to 0%: Will be increased again to 0.5% when hitting 1m ADA and to 1% when hitting 2m ADA


• 2nd (private, not public) relay ready/online: Ready for testing cardano-node 1.29.0 before upgrading block producer and public relay

The Cardano (ADA) Stake Pool "Renew Pool" (ticker: "RENEW") based in Switzerland started its operation. Surplus from pool earnings will be used to support projects in renewable energies and recycled materials.
